Here’s a review of the new Coca-Cola ad featuring Deepika Padukone. We have tried to showcase the different facets that you might have overlooked while seeing this creative ad.
Don’t tell me you haven’t seen the Coca-Cola ad that features Deepika Padukone. If you haven’t, then Google it right now because it will blow your mind away! Let me tell you why.
My favourite celebrity and me together in one elevator? *Gasp* I can’t even...
So, first off, there is no way I wouldn’t have passed out if my favourite celebrity was stuck with me; elevator or anywhere! This waiter here is too astounded to even pass out and is gushing and smiling away, standing at just an arm’s length from the tall and sassy Miss Dee.
I NEED a picture with her so that I can tell the entire world who I was with! *Heart skipping multiple beats but dancing anyway*
This man was probably thinking to himself ‘It is time to ask for an autograph and probably a selfie too!’ but was so choked at the fact of her presence right next to him that he was simply tongue tied. All that came out of his mouth was ‘air’. He suddenly lost his voice. Who wouldn’t?
*Clank Clunk* *Gulp* *Gasp* Nope. This is not a car wheeling around the corner. This is the elevator stopping followed by the sound of my emotions of utter astonishment.
Well, then there goes the faulty elevator, stopping midway, scaring Deepika. The look on her face says it all. She is taken aback and doesn’t know what to do. This moment is so important in the ad because it brings down celebrities from the pedestal that we put them on, back to the ground. They have the same fears, the same emotions, all because they are as human as us.
*I can be your hero DeePee* Ah! Yes, I have just the right concoction to beat the heat here.
There goes the fan too, making her feel extremely hot but not this fan who is standing right next to her and is still breathing pretty much. He leaves his star-struck emotion aside and realizes that she too is just like one of us! With all his love for her and a big smile on his face, he offers her a bottle of Coca-Cola to cool her down and then begins the amazing rendezvous between the fan boy and the star. They dance and they enjoy and have their own little moment of joy together. Loads of selfies have been clicked by now.
*Poof* Here goes my dream girl. After all, how long can a ‘once in a lifetime’ kind of dream stay?
The elevator doors open up with security personnel coming to her rescue. Both of these people from entirely different worlds go back to their own worlds but that single moment when both of them were absolutely in sync has made its way into both their hearts as an unforgettable memory that is to be cherished forever.
