Scaling a craft business is hard! but you can make it easy with Marcy

Today my guest is Marcy Levitas Hamilton CEO of TriCoast Worldwide, a worldwide film and television distribution company. Marcy is the visionary behind TriCoast TV, serving as both the founder and CEO. Her creative prowess extends to app development and global distribution of various channels, including the popular Made It Myself TV, dedicated to lifestyle and craft, and Dark Matter TV, specializing in genre-based films and television.

Notably, Marcy has garnered numerous awards as an esteemed editor in both New York and Los Angeles. Her talent has been sought after by acclaimed producers and directors such as William Friedkin, Dino DeLaurentiis, and James Brooks, contributing to their Oscar-winning projects. In 1987, Marcy established TriCoast Production Partners as the production arm for Mediacom Industries. As the years progressed, she expanded her company's offerings and introduced production services under the TriCoast Studios brand in 1999.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Marcy finds solace and relaxation in crafting. Engaging in Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects is her chosen method to destress and unwind during her leisure time.

In today’s episode, she will discuss

  • What inspired you to start a crafting business?
  • How much are DIY entrepreneurs profiting? What projects are most profitable?
  • What platforms cater to hobbyists growing businesses?
  • How have home renovation and design shows inspired this shift?
  • What is your future plan?
